On the 13 December 1997, the10th Anniversary Celebration was held at the basketball courts of Maris Stella High School. Mr. Stanley Yeo Boon Thiang, assistant secretary of the Coaching Committee from the Singapore Taekwondo Federation, deputy chairman for SPEX2000 committee was the Guest-of-Honour for the event. We were also very fortunate to have with us Mr. Tan Chin Hui and his National Youth Demonstration team to do a demonstration for us. Many ex-marist instructors, including Mr. O Wee Yong from the first batch of instructors (1990) turned up for the event. An estimated of forty ex-marists and thirty-five marists turned up for the barbecue. The guests started arriving at 6.00 p.m. and the actual celebration started at 6.30 p.m. with an opening speech by the present vice-chairman of the committee, Lan Ting Kang. He touched on the changes the club implemented in the recent years and the achievements. Then it was followed by a demonstration by National Youth Demonstration team. |

 Presentation of Certificates |
After the demonstration, we were proud to have Mr. Stanley Yeo to present the Statement of Success for the Certificate in Coaching Level 1 - Technical in Taekwondo to the second to fourth batches of instructors. |
| As a token of appreciation, our senior instructor, Mr. Chow Hue Kay, presented a Korea-made black belt to our Chief Instructor, Mr. Terence Tan Yong Huat. A plaque each was also presented to Mr. Stanley Yeo and Mr. Tan by Mr. Chong Shao Hong to show our appreciation to them for taking their precious time off their schedule. |

Lastly the barbecue started at 7.00 p.m. but the members of the club were already helping to start the fire before 7.00 p.m. |

Everything went smoothly and the barbecue ended at 9.30 p.m. The management committee and the present committee stayed back to clean up the area. All the committee members left the school by 10.50 p.m. The club were also like to thank the school for their support for the 10th Anniversary Celebration and the following people who have put in much time and effort.
