Grading Department

The seniors examiners


The Grading Department comprises the following: 
Head               : R. A. Jeyaraman 
Deputy Head   : Robin Chow 
Secretary         : Sivaananthan 
                         Billy Jee 
                         Tan Liang Hoe 
                         Ng Hwa Ann 
                         Peter Loo 

The STF conducted four centralised and supplementary gradings a year. The quarterly grading is one of the main activiites of the Federation. 

The promotion exerciese are for members/staff of the following organisation: 

  • private clubs 
  • schools 
  • colleges 
  • tertiary institutions 
  • community centres/clubs 
  • residents' committees' centres 
  • army 
  • police force 
  • prisions department 

A paneal of examiners comprising seniors taekwondo members of  the STF is responsible for the assessment of candidates. Candidates below Grade 2 who perform extremely well are granted double promotion while those who fail to meet the minimum requirements are not promoted. 

Grades issued by STF are recongnised by the World Taekwondo Federation, the international taekwondo governing body recognised by the International Olympic Committee.
