Fighting their way to glory

AT THE Jalan Besar Cup '99, Police Sports Association pipped home favourites Jalan Besar Community Club (JBCC) to clinch the Overall Champion trophy in the senior category. At the close of the event, the policemen brought home a haul of five gold, eight silver and six bronze medals as compared to JBCCs five gold, one silver and seven bronze medals The event, held on 11 and 12 December 1999 at JBCC, saw 252 competitors from 11 clubs fight it out. The hosts did not come away empty-handed though as they, clinched the Overall Champion title in the youth category. Eunos CC were crowned Junior Overall Champion.
