TAKING part in the North-East Stars On Parade event on 28 November 1999, taekwondo exponents from Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) showed off their martial arts skills in front of more than 20,000 people from Tampines, Pasir Ris and Aljunied GRCs. as the two Guests-of-Honour, featured a total of 46 groups representing different areas, clubs and organisations in the North-East Community Development Council District. Spectators lined a kilometre-long stretch of road as the participants sang and danced, rode bicycles and motorcycles, or simply waved as they walked past.
