IN CONJUNCTION with the Co-operative Agreement on Sports signed between the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (Singapore Office) and the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Community Development of Singapore, the second in the series of Exchange Programme saw a team of 10 Singaporeans visiting Korea from 23-30 August 1998. The team consisted of six national squad exponents, one from the development team and three officials.

The objectives of the programme were to learn and develop our taekwondo skills from the country of origin and to foster a better relationship with the host in the field of sports. Indeed, with four days of intensive training together with the Korean national and university teams, the trip was an eye-opener for all our team members. The knowledge and experience gained will help each individual strive towards SPEX 2000 for taekwondo.
