"We're 25 Years Old"
Since 1974, the Singapore Taekwondo Federation
(STF) has evolved from a fledgling organisatoni with hopes and dreams
to what it is today - a federation that has made the Korean martial
art both popular at the grassroots level and you will see young Singaporeans
busy with taekwondo at the community centres/clubs and RC centres.
In competitions, our athletes hold their
own against the best in the region. Indeed, the STF can be proud that
today, taekwondo, a merit sport under SPEX 2000, is the most popular
martial art in the country. Here are just some pictorial glimpses
of the past 25 years, as ZONE pays tribute to a federation that has
grown into a vibrant organisation, still armed with hopes and dreams.
