Eight Attend International Seminar

     EIGHT INTERNATIONAL referees from Singapore attended the 24th International Refresher Course organised by the World Taekwondo Federation on 9 and 10 March 1998. They were: Lim Teong Chin, Steven Soh, Wong Liang Ming, Nordon Lim, Tan Ching Teck, Lee Thiam Poh, Chow Pak Hoong and Lee Thiam Huat.

The course attracted more than 200 referees, most of whom were from the Asian region. They were taught the latest revised rules and procedures, which included the new hand signals. At the end of the course, all referees were required to undergo theory and practical tests.

The new knowledge acquired by our international referees will be passed on to all national referees in a seminar scheduled for the end of June 1998. The exact date will be announced as soon as we can finalise the publication date of the second edition of the Refereeing Guide.
