ENJOYED BY men, women and children, Taekwondo Aerobics provides a fun way of keeping fit, an effective means of self-defence and mode for the development of character and mental strength.

What is Taekwondo Aerobics?

Taekwondo Aerobics is simply taekwondo movements done with the help of music.
 
 
 

Concept

This fitness programme is specially developed for part.icipants of all ages, to suit the individual needs and to maintain a healthy lifestyle. At present, there are three main groups (to be expanded when necessary): 
Group I   - Below 20 years 
Group 11 - Above 20 years to 40 years 
Group III - Above 40 years

Objectives

The primary objectives of the programme is to contribute to the development of:-    .

  • participants' mental and physical well-being;    .
  • promoting physical exercise as a life-long healthy lifestyle activity; and
  • an ECA programme for schools.

Benefits

While having fun participating in the programme, participants will:-
•  develop overall fitness;
•  acquire motor skills;
•  learn an art of self-defence;
•  build mental fortitude and self-discipline;
•  find a wholesome release for physical energy; and
•  have a ready life-long exercise programme.
 

Conclusion

With the Singapore Sports Council a partner in the promotion of taekwondo aerobics, it has already been introduced at the following centres:-
1) Bedok Sports and Fitness Centre
2) Clementi Sports and Fitness Centre
3) Delta Sports and Fitness Centre
4) Tampines Sports and Fitness Centre
5) Toa Payoh Sports and Fitness Centre
6) Woodlands Sports and Fitness Centre
7) Yio Chu Kang Sports and Fitness Centre
